The horses of the 2020 Olympic riders will be accommodated in horse stalls from Röwer & Rüb. The Japan Racing Association is responsible for housing the horses at the upcoming Summer Olympic Games and has opted for know-how from Germany.
Next year, from 24 July to 9 August, the Summer Olympic Games will be held in Japan. The equestrian competitions start with dressage, followed by eventing and the jumping competitions in the last week.
The Japan Racing Association will be ensuring the optimum accommodation of the horses. The JRA will be building a total of 338 stalls, all of the "Verden" model. All the stalls have also been equipped as outdoor stalls with stable doors. The strict quality requirements were already clear from the beginning. The stables will continue to be used after the Olympic Games, when racehorses will move in. This means that sustainable use of the horse stables is guaranteed.
This is the second time that Röwer & Rüb has been asked to provide horse stables for Olympic championships. As early as 2008 at the Games in China, 248 new stalls were installed in Hong Kong, where the equestrian competitions were held. Today these stables are also mainly inhabited by the racehorses of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all athletes, the two-legged and the four-legged, every success. We would also like thank everyone for their trust and confidence and outstanding cooperation during installation with the on-site team, and also our team for the excellent planning and implementation.
